The Jordanian Al-Balqa' Applied University has selected KAWAR Energy to build a solar park with a power of 7MW. KACO new energy is supplying the inverters for this PV plant. Construction will start in the second quarter of 2019.

The energy from the 7MW solar park will cover 60 percent of the university's energy requirements. A BOT contract was signed between Mr. Hanna Zaghloul, CEO of KAWAR Energy, and Dr. Jamal Al-Nsour, Vice President Al-Balqa' Applied University. Work on the ground-mounted solar park will begin in the second quarter of 2019.

For feeding the solar energy into the local grid of the Al-Balqa' Applied University, an order of 140 inverters was placed with KACO new energy.

Eyad Hanania, CEO of the Jordanian subsidiary of KACO new energy: "Kawar Energy is one of the most renowned EPCs in Jordan. The project at Al-Balqa' Applied University is the culmination of our long-standing cooperation. It is a special honor that Kawar Energy has chosen our German inverter technology for such a showcase project as well."

"Given the ever-increasing global importance of renewable energy projects, we at Kawar Energy are proud to have been chosen to procure, build, finance, operate and maintain the largest solar system at a university in Jordan to date. Our commitment to safeguarding Jordan's environment will undoubtedly be manifested by the prevention of 6,500 tons of CO2 emissions every year once this plant is fully operational. Our aim is to set the trend towards the transition to renewables and developing new PV systems to support the national grid. Kaco new energy has shown great dedication to the Jordan solar PV market and over the years has built up a reliable service, which is always ready to support us", says Mr. Hanna Zaghloul, CEO of KAWAR Energy.
