Sunpreme Inc. announced that it has deployed 6.35MW of Solar Panels for Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard, MA. The solar projects were developed and built by American Capital Energy (ACE) and majority of the installations are on capped landfills. The energy output of these projects is fed into the local grid with the net metering benefit going to the Cape and Vineyard Electric Cooperative (CVEC) and its member communities.

"We selected Sunpreme solar panels because of the innovative technology, their robust reliability, an excellent value and their total technical solution. Sunpreme has demonstrated that it is a reliable partner with their excellent solar products, strong technical collaboration and professional customer support," said Eric McLean, P.E., Executive Vice President of Operations, American Capital Energy.

"We are gratified by the successful outcome of these trend-setting distributed power generation projects. It demonstrates Sunpreme's capability to deliver our rugged, double glass, frameless panels incorporating innovative Photo-Voltaic Cells derived from our Hybrid Cell Technology (HCT) platform," said Dr. Ashok K. Sinha, Chairman and CEO of Sunpreme. "Through this project and beyond, we continue to deliver "must have" customer benefits driven by continuous innovation and attention to detail; the benefits are focused on: (a) best designed panels for ruggedness and aesthetics, (b) the most cost effective, high performance cells for Solar 2.0, and (c) the best cost performance achieved through a combination of high STC output, outstanding AC output and a significantly lower BOS. This approach has resulted in a lowering of the LCOE, thereby maximizing our customers' IRR." added Sinha.

"We are privileged to have partnered with ACE, an award winning solar developer – to help power with clean, reliable renewable solar electricity to prestigious Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard. Our penetration into Utility Power Plant supports our market diversification strategy, and we are proud to deploy advanced SmartSilicon® HCT solar panels at these sites that will address its energy needs with the most cost effective long term solar electricity solution," said Surinder S. Bedi, Executive Vice President for Market Development, Systems Design and Global Quality at Sunpreme. "These solar panels have already been tested and certified to withstand the most challenging environmental solutions ranging from extreme hot to extreme cold, snow load, hail stones, and coupled with one of the best power warranty in the industry. We expect this 6.35MW system to demonstrate high energy output with no light induced degradation, lower LCOE and robust reliability over the next 25 years, and we look forward to continuing this strategic business partnership with best-in-class customer experience," added Bedi.
