Clenergy, an enabler for governments, the public sector and enterprises seeking carbon neutrality, today announced a new distributor partnership with Palette Business Solutions (Palette), a Nigeria-based renewable energy company, to expand its footprint in the African Solar photovoltaics (PV) Industry. The strategic partnership leverages the respective strengths of Clenergy and Palette to achieve a sustainable and clean energy-powered future.
"The partnership with Palette is part of our innovative approaches to identifying strategic distribution partnerships that enable us to expand our operations across Africa. The collaboration allows us to accelerate the deployment of more efficient and affordable solar energy in Nigeria," said Daniel Hong, CEO, Clenergy.
As part of the agreement, Palette is authorised to sell Clenergy's flagship product line PVezRack® and its newly unveiled RUNNUR sub-brand within Nigeria through its distribution networks. It covers a wide variety of PVezRack® subcategories ranging from SolarRoof, SolarTerrace, EzTracker™, Clenergy Hollywood to Post Mount, the RUNNUR cable management solutions, and other related accessories.
"We are very excited about the partnership between Clenergy and Palette as this aligns with our growth initiatives in the renewable energy segment," said Charles Mesu, Director, Palette. "With Clenergy's in-depth understanding of the solar PV industry and its strong coverage worldwide, I am confident that this partnership will help to drive further business growth for both companies and contribute to the renewable energy sector in Nigeria."
Nigeria, Africa's largest economy with a population of over 208 million, has an installed electricity capacity of 12,500 megawatts (MW). However, the national grid only provides 5,000 MW at peak. Realising the remarkable potential of solar, the government of Nigeria is supporting the rollout of mini-grids, solar home systems, and solar for health and education under the Rural Electrification Agency of Nigeria.
