April 7, 2014 - OnForce Solar has announced that they have completed a 402kW rooftop solar installation for Price Master Corporation at its corporate office and warehouse distribution center located in Queens, NY.
The 402kW system integrates Con Edison's SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system that allows the utility to remotely monitor and control the system. The SCADA system, part of the Smart Grid Deployment Project, adds an enhanced level of resiliency to Con Edison's grid, helping to protect the utility's customers from catastrophic power outages.
Price Master's rooftop solar system is expected to generate in excess of 420,000 kilowatt hours of clean energy per year. In addition to the company realizing an immediate and substantial reduction in energy costs, the system will offset 638,224 pounds of CO2 emissions annually.
