Dear Sales and Engineering Team,
We are contacting your company to request a comprehensive technical proposal and commercial quotation for an upcoming utility-scale grid-coupled solar photovoltaic plant integrated with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
As the project managers, we have established strict technical baseline criteria that must be met. We are looking for high-performance equipment capable of operating reliably under harsh environmental conditions with peak ambient temperatures reaching up to +50°C.
Please find the summary of our core technical requirements below:
Central Inverter System: Three (3) central-type inverters with a minimum unit capacity of 1,040 kVA, achieving a minimum total AC capacity of 3,115 kVA. The inverters must be installed inside isolated, climate-controlled technical premises (containers) without raw external ventilation to protect against dust and sandstorms. A minimum efficiency of 97.5% and a 10-year warranty are mandatory.
Battery Energy Storage System (BESS): A fully containerized storage solution with a nominal capacity of 15 MWh, providing approximately 8 hours of autonomy based on our designated load profiles. High thermal-stability chemistry (such as Lithium Iron Phosphate - LFP) is preferred. The system must include an advanced Battery Management System (BMS) and dynamic thermal regulation.
Standards and Testing: Compliance with IEC 61427-2 is strict. The manufacturer must provide endurance test reports verifying system performance, capacity retention, standby energy requirements, and efficiency at an ambient temperature of +50°C. The battery must have a minimum service life of 10 years at an operating baseline temperature of 30°C.
Control and Auxiliary Systems: Full integration with a plant-wide SCADA/EMS system for Performance Ratio (PR) calculation, remote GPRS communication, local meteorological station compatibility, and Type II lightning/surge protection.
